Suit Filed Over Election Assault

CHASE MATHESON - JANUARY 17, 2022
BENTON COUNTY, TN - On Thursday January 13, 2022 Camden, TN City Alderwoman Debbie Baldwin, her daughter and school board candidate Crystal Baldwin, and a retired Veteran Debra Capriato filed suit against now-former Election Commissioner Gina Beasley and her husband Charles Albert Beasley for damages resulting from the assault which occurred on September 23, 2021 in the Benton County Election Building. The case number is 22-CV-01. "We felt like we had to file this suit because we are tired of public corruption going unnoticed, and if we had been the aggressors, we'd likely STILL be in jail. We are tired of the double standards, and it's time for accountability." says Crystal Baldwin.
Video of the assault, which took nearly 3 months for the victims to obtain, shows the entire altercation. The ladies are represented by Daniel Turklay, an up-and-coming attorney in Mount Juliet, TN who isn't afraid of litigating against public officials. Funds for the case are being raised through Act Free NOW, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting liberty and exposing corruption amongst those in public trust.
