Good Legal Help can sometimes be Hard to Find, now, it's a little easier
Round 1
Frank the Wank got fired. Well, not technically — he resigned.
The soon-to-be former Tennessee Department of Correction Commissioner, Frank Strada, submitted his resignation after global outrage over last week’s failed execution of Christa Pike.
And considering the backlash, it’s hard to believe that decision was entirely of his own fruition.
Pike survived two meant-to-be-fatal doses of pentobarbital and remains hospitalized.
And that's the 2nd problematic execution attempt this year which put Strada’s past under a microscope.
Turns out, he used to work in Arizona, where he oversaw 3 executions in 2022.
All three were described as visibly problematic or botched, with two involving serious trouble getting IV lines into the prisoners.
*Notice a trend?*
Some online critics have even questioned if Strada may have been acting intentionally.
No matter the reason, Strada is No Mada & Tennessee DP cases are on pause pending an independent review.
What changes do you think need to be made going forward?
Round 2
A quick snooze turned into a 1 hour standoff Saturday afternoon
A 59 year old man was unconscious behind the wheel in Smyrna when officers took a moment to check on him
He didnt react well to being awakened from his slumber, grabbed a knife and sped off
11 minutes later, LaVergne PD made contact and IMMEDIATELY the guy started talking about Chop Suey by Cop
*Coded cultural reference for those born in the 1900s*
Instead of going all Canadian and promoting the self-deletion, LaVergne PD attempted to de-escalate for over an hour.
But, as people in a bad place mentally sometimes to, he said he wasnt going back to the slammer, injested a bunch of illegal stuffs, and cut communication
With the ball in their court, Officers moved in with non-lethal measures
Though the suspect did try to turn himself into Thanksgiving platter, Lavergne PD was able to stop him
He's now listed as in crtical but stable condition at Vanderbilt
Even the cop haters are giving a Hat tip to LaVergne PD for this one.
That's 2 stories down with 1 to go, lets start the week off right and get this video 100 likes and 25 comments before lunch!

David Hatley & Lauren Pinkston are both drawing criticism as independents, Hatley for drawing votes away from Marsha and Pinkston similarly for Green
And for the record there are 11 other independents in the race.
