Round 1

Mt Juliet police are getting a lot of hate right now, but the haters are mad at the wrong people

A few days ago Jake Hockey who runs an Instagram page called Pred Task Force set up a sting in the area

According to him, a member of his team posed as a teen boy, and a Mt Juliet business owner agreed to meet.

Allegedly Armed with a pocket of lube, the 51 year old waited for the "teen" to be dropped off by an uber, and when he realized it was a bust, he confessed his intentions

Then, according to the posts, the dude confessed AGAIN to the cops, who ultimately did nothing

People were PISSED. And Rightfully so. So they gave Mt Juliet pd an earful. A moderator for "The Hip Community of Mt Juliet" may have even perma banned the PD over the incident

Just 1 problem, it was Wilson County Sheriff's Office who responded, and Mt Juliet had no idea what was going on

At the time this was recorded, Wilson County hadn't made any statements, but there's plenty of Backstory on Jake's page.

Look's like he was in Smyrna yesterday, too

Round 2

Speaking of pervs, Portland PD just used their License Plate cameras to catch a previously convicted creep breaking the law.

But they werent investigating the crime after the fact. Instead, the cameras alerted them in real time.

According to their Facebook post, their system alerted them that a vehicle registered to a man on the offenders list had pulled into Meadowbrook Park

When officers responded, sure enough they found Zack Myers, still at the park where several kids were playing.

Their investigation also revealed that Myers had been using social media without disclosing it — which he cant do as a previous offender.

Im not a big fan of flock cameras, but if we could somehow focus them only on Kiddie Diddlers and corrupt politicians then I'd be OK with them.

That's 2 stories down, with 1 to go, can you do us a favor and smash those buttons? We're trying to top 100 likes by dinner time.

Round 3

How many times have you heard people tell you not to leave valuables in your cars? If you're in Kingsport, it's a warning you should heed.

Police are looking for 2 different suspects who were caught on video rifling through cars.

The first incident shows a man in white approach a vehicle from the passenger side and open up the door

About 20 seconds goes by, he gets out and this car drives away. Of course the video was recorded on a 2005 Motorola Razor so making out the details is a bit tough

The next perp however should be easy to find.

In a very short clip you see a masked man approach what looks like a wrecked vw bug under a tarp.

As soon as he leans inside, though, the garage light pops on and scares the would-be thief away, but not before giving us a clue

Though he thought wearing a mask and gloves was adequate for the occasion, this Beatle burglarizing bozo forgot about proper footware.

So if you know someone who likes wear mismatched purple and yellow socks with their sandals, you might wanna tell them to lay low.

Because kingsport police might extradite him should the fashion police claim jurisdiction.
