Let's Go!!
Round 1
Last night in Tennessee, just 280 votes beat a 16-year incumbent, $12 million bought 9%, and history won by a hair.
Marsha Blackburn is Tennessee's first woman governor — but by just about 54,000 votes, the narrowest margin in over 100 years.
The shock: Victoria Broderick beat Scott DesJarlais by 280 votes, 95,585 to 95,305, becoming Tennessee's only Democrat in Congress.
In Memphis, Brent Taylor edged Justin Pearson by about 2,500 votes in a district redrawn to turn red.
Independent David Hatley spent almost $12 million of his own money for just 9.3% — roughly $61 per vote.
And Burchett, reelected in District 2, is eyeing Blackburn's Senate seat when she leaves it in January.

Round 2
If you didn't see it in the run up to this election, there was some drama coming out of the TN congressional dostrict 2 race… seems we’d reached the postcard warfare portion of the campaign.
Buckle up
Michaela Barnett says her opponent, Tim Burchette, was accusing her of inappropriate behavior over a postcard written by a volunteer.
According to her statement, he hasn’t shared what it says. She also denies involving his family in the campaign.
Burchett, in a short video response said:
[Clip]
Michaela called it hypocrisy, alleging his campaign previously posted a video using profanity against her and regularly insults her supporters in fundraising emails.
Those are her allegations—not independently established here.
[Burchette clip]
So what did the postcard actually say? Who wrote it? And what connects it to the campaign?
The hell if I know
But I think Representative Burchette said it best right here:
[Play clip of tim tired of it]
You know what Tim… I think we're all dadgum tired of it.
That's 2 rounds down and one to go and if you'd do us a solid and tag three of your friends in thos video, that would be AMAZING!
Round 3
Crockett County has a monkey at large.
Not a metaphor. Not more election shenanigans. An actual reported monkey.
The sheriff’s office says a resident near Brim’s Corner spotted a small, brown monkey running across a field—and her dog refused to come inside.
That dog said, “uhhh… You’re gonna want to see this.”
Deputies have previously rounded up buffalo, a kangaroo, emus, and the usual livestock.
Looks like Crockett County doesn’t need a zoo. It needs a sign-in sheet and guest registry.
And before you blame the Safari Park: Deputies checked. All its animals are accounted for.
This monkey is apparently an independent. A real trendsetter. A DIY kind of monkey guy.
The sheriff’s office is asking monkey rescues to stop tying up dispatch. If yours is missing, or you spot this one, Don’t approach it, feed it, or try to take it home.
Keep children and pets away.
But let's be honest, some of y’all heard “free monkey” and stopped listening.
No, this is not finder's keepers.
That was your TN news roundup.
